Queer Pride on Whidbey

Queer Pride on Whidbey is dedicated to bringing awareness, enrichment, and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community to Whidbey Island. Every summer, community members and guests come together to participate in the annual parade, which is enhanced by additional educational and social events. Queer Pride on Whidbey is a volunteer-powered festival made possible by the generous support of the community.

The festival planning council, "Team Fabulous," works on the annual Whidbey Island pride event as well as on-going opportunities for community involvement and social connection. Queer Pride on Whidbey unites the queer community in a geographic area deemed rural. Bringing together organizations and people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, advocating for equity and inclusion, and creating stronger visibility and advocacy for a community that has a small population size increases the health and well-being of queer folks in the community.
