The very first of Vertical Generation's monthly Movement Events took place in September at the Seattle Bouldering Project with a group of fourteen 6th-12th graders from Mary’s Place, a homeless shelter for women and children.

The People's Harm Reduction Alliance (PHRA) helps drug users in the U-district and locations around Cascadia avoid HIV, STDs, and Hepatitis-C by providing clean needles, straws, medical support and love for those in need. The PHRA strives to enrich and expand its community by encouraging awareness of drug users and homelessness.
