Faces of Cascadia: Eric Seitz Turns His Life Around And Dedicates It To Helping Others
Eric Seitz is a street nurse and volunteer with the Vocal-WA needle exchange program as well as helping homeless youth and inmates. Seitz was once a drug user living on the streets until his young niece made him change his mind. He decided to dedicate his life to helping others who are in the same situation he was once in many years ago.
Faces of Cascadia: Shilo Jama on bringing awareness and love to the drug user community
The People's Harm Reduction Alliance (PHRA) helps drug users in the U-district and locations around Cascadia avoid HIV, STDs, and Hepatitis-C by providing clean needles, straws, medical support and love for those in need. The PHRA strives to enrich and expand its community by encouraging awareness of drug users and homelessness.
Cascadia Resiliency and Networking Gathering Sept. 9-15 in Oregon Umqua Forest
A Cascadian Resilience Gathering is growing in the woods of Southern Cascadia. The Guild of Scholars, Scribes and Independent Posties (G.O.S.S.I.P.) has called this gathering during the week of September 9-15, 2013. They intend to create a safe time and space for Cascadians to share important information pertaining to resilience and networking in a uniquely Cascadian setting. The gathering will have skill shares, conversations, presentations, reverence for nature and live music.
