Dogs to the Rescue is CascadiaNow!'s Newsest Fiscally Sponsored Project!

The CascadiaNow! Board of Directors has unanimously voted to adopt Dogs to the Rescue as a fiscally sponsored project and we couldn't be more pleased! The mission of Dogs to the Rescue is to empower families and communities to make healthy choices for people and the planet. Their all-ages show uses puppets, humor, and music to bring to life the vision and the path to a healthy low carbon future.

Hook in! The Seattle Cascadia Arts Collective

Hook in! The Seattle Cascadia Arts Collective

For Cascadians in the Seattle area, we are very excited to share the creation of a Seattle Cascadia Arts Collective. Starting to help build an awesome float for the Fremont Solstice Parade, the SCAC grew out of the idea to represent Cascadia & CascadiaNow at events, and to use art as a force for positive social change throughout the Pacific Northwest. Active as an informal group of artists, poets, and Cascadians for the last two years, they are continued to grow in size and scope, officially becoming a core program of CascadiaNow! this year.

Volunteers Needed: A Cascadia Bioregional Curriculum

CascadiaNow! is excited to announce that in 2017, we will be working to develop a ten week program for Cascadia Ambassadors to get grounded in bioregionalism, the Cascadia movement, and work with other team members to create a community service project to get active directly in their community.

A Cascadia HQ

A Cascadia HQ

The Cascadia HQ is a renegade art and community space being built by members of Seattle CascadiaNow! to serve as shared offices, studio space for working artists, workshop space, as well as being large enough to host presentations, movies, potlucks, classes, art builds, storage and of course a parking space for the Cascadia bus, all within a space that can help show the principles of Cascadia, as well as teach.
