On September 25th CascadiaNow! is excited to announce that dozens of community living enthusiasts joined and were inspired at the launch party for our first ever fiscally sponsored project - The Living Bus Project. The party was the result of months of hard work by Living Bus organizers and creators William & Melissa Myers. The bus is still under construction, but the sharing and education has already begun!
The launch included free local IPA tasting, a guided tour and hooked in with a weekend of fun events, learning and workshops as part of a Village Building Convergence hosted by CultureSeed (a WA non-profit) which includes experiential learning and community celebration. CultureSeed provided community dinner each evening and two artists also joined Friday night to share their work -
Fine artist Jazz-minh Claire Moore, the recipient of numerous awards; including a NYFA Fellowship and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. She has exhibited her works in Paris, New York, San Francisco & Los Angeles. We are thankful for her kindness & excited to bring you a selection of her work displayed on the interior walls of our sustainable home. Jazz-minh's portfolio can be viewed online: http://www.jazzminh.com/
Photographer Michael Bittner was also on site and is the maker of original polaroid instant film transfers and emulsion lifts. His photographs and transfers are a part of a multiple year project & series called Cascadia; which artfully documents the intricate ecological web supporting life within the greater Pacific Northwest bioregion. Come meet the friendly Cascadian and discover his "one-of-a-kind" prints. Find Michael's work on ETSY: https://www.etsy.com/shop/bioregionalphoto
